Gratitude

“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.”

–  William Arthur Ward

Imagine what your day would be like if you started and ended it by simply noticing all that you have in your life and being truly thankful. Gratitude is the key to abundance. The more you recognize and express gratitude even in the smallest thing, you will experience an increase in all the good things that come your way. Miracles happen everywhere all the time, and only those with an attitude of gratitude seem to notice them. When you take a few moments to express your appreciation inwardly or to others, immediately you feel happier, more relaxed, more optimistic, have more positive manifestations, knowing you are whole and complete just as you are.

Studies also provide evidence that positive, appreciative attitude enhances the body’s healing system and general health. Gratitude helps better manage stress and help cope with daily problems.

Grateful people experience less depression and stress, are more likely to help others, exercise regularly and tend to make more progress toward personal goals.

When you are genuinely thankful, it is impossible to feel negative emotion such as anger, resentment or pessimism at the same time. Having an attitude of gratitude helps you feel and think positive thought, create positive situations and attract positive people to you.

With all the positive incentives, why not start each morning journaling what you are thankful for? Focus on what is working in your life regardless of how small or seemingly insignificant it may be before long you will notice that more things will fall into place with little or no effort on your part, as gratitude has become part of your journey toward intentional living.
